For the first time three women, mother, sister, and daughter, all members of the Navajo Nation are running for the Arizona Legislature. All 3 have vital experience and are longtime residents of the Navajo Nation. They have lived in and traveled all across LD 6 (the largest legislative district in the state).

Jamescita Peshlakai has served one term as Representative for the district and two terms in the State Senate. Under the Biden administration, Jamescita served as the tribal liaison for the US Department of Interior and in 2025 was appointed by Governor Hobbs to the Arizona State Transportation Board.

Angela Maloney has served the people for her entire career. Angela spent time working for Indian Health Services, the Bureau for Indian Affairs, and at the Tuba City Medical Center. Maloney was born and raised on the Navajo Nation.

Representative Mae Peshlakai is running for re-election to her third term in the State House. Mae Peshlakai is a survivor of Federal boarding schools and became an internationally recognized artist and indigenous knowledge elder.
